So I finally finished going through all the random box’s of crap in my room from when I was a kid, and in the last box I found these lovely pictures of my best friend, Julie, and I. We’re probably like 15, here.

Julie was the first person I ever met when I moved to Colorado, and was, inherently, my best friend through Middle School and High School. When I moved to Florida, briefly, she sent me stupid cards and drew me pictures and other ridiculous stuff. We went through everything together, from playing barbies, to babysitting her niece, to playing neopets. We became ‘pro gamers’ (lol) together, and literally destroyed dudes in Halo 2. She is, to this day, one of the most genuine people I’ve ever known.

I showed these pictures to my Mom, and she goes “I remember Andy [My step dad] getting so mad because you two would be locked up in your room, or the basement, just laughing hysterically and I wouldn’t go check on you two. I always knew you weren’t getting into any really trouble. You two were always just so goofy, just innocent fun”

And that’s pretty much exactly it. We played video games, trolled kids on neopets/runescape, made videos on her Dad’s camcorder of us eating corn nuts and singing “we are family” in dumb voices, dressed up in stupid costumes and pranced around, and just, seriously, had fun. We had more inside jokes than I ever did with any of my other friends, combined. And they were all incredibly stupid. “Penelope Sleeping Shoes”.

I miss this girl so much. I haven’t seen her in like a year, but we still play xbox together from time to time.
